Entry-Level Tech Sales Jobs: Where They Actually Are in 2026
LinkedIn shows you maybe a third of open SDR roles, and the most-applied-to third at that. Here's where the rest live.

Almost every candidate starts their tech sales search on LinkedIn. It's the obvious move and it's the wrong move. LinkedIn surfaces somewhere around 30% of open SDR roles at any given time, and those listings collect the lion's share of total applications. If you've been applying for weeks and seeing nothing, the most likely explanation isn't that no one is hiring, it's that you're looking in the loudest, most-crowded room in the building. Below is a tour of the quieter, better-stocked rooms.
Wellfound (the old AngelList Talent)
If you only use one alternative board, make it Wellfound. Founders and early sales leaders post directly. Compensation ranges are listed transparently. You can filter by funding stage, team size, remote policy, and equity. The typical SDR listing here pulls a small fraction of the applicant volume a comparable LinkedIn post gets. Set up daily alerts for 'SDR' and 'BDR' filtered to Series A through Series C and you'll have a steady stream of credible roles.
RepVue
RepVue is the closest thing sales has to a Glassdoor that actually tells the truth. Reps anonymously rate quota attainment, OTE realism, leadership quality, product-market fit, and culture. The job board surfaces openings primarily from companies that score above a quality threshold, which filters out the worst boiler rooms by default. Before you apply anywhere, check the company on RepVue. The information you get back is worth more than another five applications.
Work at a Startup (Y Combinator)
YC's job page lists openings at every active YC-backed company. Filter for sales and BDR / SDR roles. These companies are some of the fastest-growing on the planet, and they hire in waves. Applications go directly to the founders or sales leads, often without an ATS layer in between. The response rate is meaningfully higher than the average LinkedIn listing.
Bravado
Bravado is a community-driven board focused exclusively on sales jobs. Smaller listing volume than Wellfound, but the signal-per-listing is high because roles are vetted by the community first. Worth checking weekly rather than daily.
Hacker News 'Who is Hiring'
On the first business day of every month, Hacker News runs a 'Who is Hiring' thread. Hundreds of startups post openings directly in the comments. Use Cmd+F to search for 'SDR', 'BDR', or 'sales'. Many of these companies don't post on traditional job boards at all, so this is one of the lowest-competition entry points on the entire internet.
The hidden majority: roles that never get posted
The most reliable pattern in sales hiring is this: a VP of Sales gets approved for two SDR seats on a Monday, posts the role internally on Tuesday, hires two referrals by Friday, and the listing never reaches LinkedIn. The only way to access this hidden tier is to know which companies are about to hire and reach the decision-maker before they post. Signals that a company is about to open SDR roles: a recent funding round, a new VP of Sales hire, multiple new AE openings (SDRs always follow AEs), or a public revenue milestone.
A short list of companies that hire SDRs in cohorts
Names worth tracking in 2026: Gong, Outreach, Apollo, Clay, Attio, Vanta, Drata, Ramp, Mercury, Linear, Retool, Hex, Pylon, Common Room, Plaid, Brex, Notion, Figma. Most run quarterly or rolling cohorts. Check their careers pages directly rather than trusting LinkedIn to surface them, and sign up for their product newsletters so your outreach can reference something specific and recent.
The jobs are out there. The candidates who land them aren't necessarily better, they're just looking in better places. Spend the next week on the boards above and add direct outreach to companies on your shortlist, and the funnel tends to fill quickly. If you'd rather have a team build your shortlist, monitor signals, and run the outreach for you, Sales Hunter is purpose-built for exactly that, with a 3-interviews-in-30-days guarantee.
